Birds of a feather SAC together
GAC. HAC. MAC. SAC. Familiar Gumption-speak, double Dutch to the rest of the world. At least three times a year, the Ambassador Clubs bring together people from the group’s 18 companies to promote collaboration and co-creation.
GAC. HAC. MAC. SAC. Familiar Gumption-speak, double Dutch to the rest of the world. At least three times a year, the Ambassador Clubs bring together people from the group’s 18 companies to promote collaboration and co-creation. The managers have a Gumption Ambassador Club (GAC), HR its HAC, Marketing its MAC, and Sales its SAC. Platforms for sharing knowledge and experiences.
Like last April’s SAC. The baptism of fire of the new hub – and home to Studio Emma – in Bruges.
Camille Debruyn explained in great detail how business managers can benefit from using Plugnotes: digitising processes and forms tailored to their needs without knowledge of IT. Or, in jargon: no-code. ‘It’s not always sensible to develop a process directly in your ERP, for instance, as long as it changes too often,’ says Camille. ‘Or, as a business manager, you sometimes have to wait too long before a process is automated. Want to be able to act quickly? Plugnotes may be the solution. Example: one client digitised their delivery notes. Integrated with customer lists and order lists in ERP. No more paper notes. Long live efficiency and time savings. Purchasing and Finance are fans, as are the suppliers, who can take prompt action when issues arise.’

Pieter Hermans talked about what clients find unique about working with DNCS, the security and network specialist. ‘That we only use higher-quality equipment, among other things. The total cost of ownership is often financially more advantageous than that of cheaper alternatives. That’s why we work with scalable, open systems like Genetec’s. We also build bridges with systems and customer databases. And, we like to use new technologies – but only when they add real business value. Like the security cameras with AI that can detect suspicious behaviour of people in real-time. Valuable? Just ask our supermarket clients.’

Gust Dierckx is another man with more than a few exciting stories to tell. TowerEye does what DNCS does but for temporary set-ups. TowerEye installs cameras and a stable network at more than 100 events and festivals every year, enabling visitors and organisers to surf the net, make calls, make card payments and stream videos securely. With 12,000 endpoints, Tomorrowland is one of its biggest clients. Then there are the large construction sites or companies that temporarily set up shop in containers during a renovation. ‘Project management is critical because we work to extremely tight deadlines,’ says Gust. ‘A festival never shifts. Everything has to work 24/7. That’s why we always use backup systems.’ Up for a good story or two? Call Gust!

Of course, a great meeting is best ended in style. At ‘t Fraeyhuis in Bruges, for instance. To add the culinary touch to co-creation. Highly recommended.
