CenEnergy provides custom charging solutions for electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles. With the CenEnergy charging card, you can charge your car at 58,000 charging points across Europe. A new app provides an overview of these charging points.
‘The CenEnergy charging card makes travelling by electric car a hassle-free experience.’ says Jan Verbruggen of CenEnergy. ‘We have a broad Belgian CenEnergy network of 3,200 charging points. Via roaming partners, our customers also have access to an extensive European network of 58,000 charging points, suitable for both electric and hybrid vehicles.’
In the last few months, CenEnergy has developed a smartphone app that maps these charging points. ‘Useful for anyone travelling by electric car,’ says Jan Verbruggen. ‘You can search by city or town, or postal code, with filters for specific types of chargers.’
This app, with a clear, extensive search function, is available via the App Store or Google Play. Charging card holders can also search based on their actual location. This app makes it easy to pay for a charging session at the chargers connected to the CenEnergy platform.
CenEnergy installs charging points at customer sites, both private individuals and companies or public institutions. The chargers at Bobbejaanland, Flanders Expo and Wijnegem shopping centre are just some of the charging points installed by CenEnergy.
‘The advantage of our technology is that it allows you to control the energy between your solar panels, plug-in car and home battery, for instance, at home via a smart grid,’ Jan Verbruggen explains. ‘Thanks to the smart grid, the local electricity network is protected against overload and it ensures optimal energy distribution in the home. With our home battery, you can store energy which you can then use at peak times. To charge your electric car, but also to provide your home with renewable energy. Better for the environment, better for your wallet.’
