During Sandsation – the Gumption team day on 15 September 2018 in the Dutch resort of Ouddorp in Zeeland – the group was able to set an official world record in its name. The employees got down to work with plastic buckets and spades and were able to build 1,924 sand castles in 42 minutes. In the process, they blew away the previous record of 1,000 sand castles.

‘I’m incredibly impressed with your teamwork and your sand castle building’, said Fay Edwards from the Guinness World Records® after the end of the event. Ms. Edwards was there as the official delegate from the Guinness World Records® sent from London to Zeeland to ensure that the world record attempt met all the official rules.

This world record demonstrates the cohesion of our group. By joining forces, we can achieve great things.
