Kontich, May 15, 2018 – Belgian company CenEnergy intends to accelerate its growth and further professionalize its organisation. It is therefore attracting new investors from the automotive and IT sector. Founder Isabelle Storme is handing over the operational management to Jan Verbruggen and Kurt Geudens.
CenEnergy provides charging solutions for electric vehicles to businesses, government and private individuals. It has its own widely branched Belgian network of public charging points and on top of that customers have access to over 50,000 charging points all over Europe through roaming partnerships. CenEnergy offers Belgian quality, from concept and production to installation and after sales.
CenEnergy differentiates itself through the combination of innovative technology with customer-centric approach and management. “Creating maximum added value for infrastructure owners and consumer remains the main objective,” says Jan Verbruggen. “We want to accelerate our growth by focusing on upscaling, quality, service and new revenue models for our customers. Back office processes are also being optimised taking into account current and future needs.”
Ginion Group and Gumption will be joining as investors. Automotive group Ginion is an importer and distributor of various premium and luxury car brands. As a business accelerator, Gumption supports driven entrepreneurs and start-ups with innovative solutions and services for digital transformation and process improvement. Ginion Group and Gumption are supporting the group both financially and in terms of content. In addition, Centrauto Group and Isabelle Storme are staying on board as shareholders. Isabelle Storme will focus her energy mainly on business development.
Jan Verbruggen has previously been COO and Sales Director at companies including Centrauto, Touring and ALD Automotive. Kurt Geudens has years of experience as a business banker and as an entrepreneur, running his own fuel company.
